Public Works By Aakash Nihalani

tapeartAs a fan of both contemporary and street art there’s no question that once I saw the work of artist Aakash Nihalani, I was immediately impressed. Clean, bright geometric lines that find their way onto cityscapes for some reason add an extra sense of digital (e.g. Adobe Illustrator) to a roughly analogue (e.g. Brick/Cement) world.

When asked Nihalani describes his work by stating, “My work consists mostly of isometric rectangles and squares. I selectively place these graphics around New York to highlight the unexpected contours and elegant geometry of the city itself. All execution of a piece is done on site with little to no planning.”

Well job well done mate!
